From Thugging to Loving: Empowering a community in transition through the power of Jesus Christ.

At Thugging to Loving, our purpose since our establishment has been crystal clear: to extend the message of hope and love of Jesus Christ to a particular sector of society. Matthew 25;31-46 -We aim to serve as a beacon of light and support to those who have endured the hardships of incarceration, gang affiliation, drug addiction, homelessness and to break the endless cycle of generational struggles that threaten their future. By dedicating our efforts to this vulnerable demographic, we have been able to witness the transformative power Jesus Christ firsthand. John 8:36

Our mission is not an easy one. It requires us to challenge societal stigmatization, break through barriers of prejudice, and advocate tirelessly for equal opportunities for every member of our community. We understand that the journey from a life of thugging to a life walking in the love of Christ can be scary and overwhelming at times as we die to self-daily to live for Jesus. It demands unwavering faith, commitment, patience, and a genuine belief in the bible and its totality! Matthew 16:24-26
To effectively reach and support our target audience, we have developed various ministries and initiatives that address their specific needs and circumstances. Through partnerships with local non-profit institutions, and other ministries we are able to go to the people who need our help. Matthew 18:12

We believe that awakening men and women to their purpose in Christ, plugging them into a local church family “tribe” so that they can be discipled in the Lord, championed in their call and sent into the world to be fishers of men will break the cycle of recidivism and all other strong holds. John 28:16-20

Understanding that the journey towards redemption is not linear, we acknowledge the importance of a strong support system. Through being in relationships and doing life with other brothers and sisters in Christ- Proverbs 27:17 through regular fellowship, breaking of bread, praise worship, bible study, prayer sessions and community outreach we create an atmosphere that fosters camaraderie, understanding, and acceptance to share their testimonies and experiences, while forging meaningful connections with their peers who understand and relate to their struggles. revelation 12:11

At Thugging to Loving, we firmly believe that every individual, regardless of their background, has the capacity through the Holy Spirit to transform their lives and break free from the chains that bind them. Our existence is a testament to the power of the one true God. Through faith, hope, and love we will continue to serve our neighbors, the nations in our nation and the nations and any who may have lost their way.
